Projects - Visa U.S.A. - McLean, VA

Overview

The facility is VISA’s East Coast “ SuperCenter ” which is the first of 4 “VisaNet 2000” data interchange centers that will be built around the world by the year 2000 to handle an expected 500% increase in business. The facility support system (HVAC, UPS, diesel generators, security) had to be extremely fault-tolerant and reliable to support the expected processing performance. CSIE performed design, engineering, bidding and negotiation services, construction management and general construction services for this important project. This critical facility was designed/engineered and constructed by CSIE on time and on budget. Services performed by CSIE included: Master planning, requirements analysis, architectural design, computer hardware planning, mechanical/electrical engineering, construction administration, long-lead equipment procurement, and construction management and general construction.

• 85,000 sf of 6” raised flooring in office/support area
