Overview
The 180,000 sf facility, First American Data Center was designed and constructed as a data processing hub for six independent banking operations with their own data processing operations. First American Data Center was created to eliminate the redundancy of labor and equipment represented in six separate operations whole bringing all six operations state-of-the-art efficiency. The main objective of the project was to implement a facility that would allow First American Data Center Bank shares banks better and more cost-effective than they could achieve operating independently. First American Data Center achieved and maintained a 99% uptime average, which far exceeded each banker’s previous average. One of the main reasons for the success of First American Data Center was the facility design, construction and the on-going facilities management/maintenance services provided by CSIE. Services performed by CSIE included: Architectural design, computer hardware planning, mechanical/electricalengineering, construction administration and general construction.
