Projects - Colo.com (Medford, Watertown & Boston, MA & New York, NY )

Overview

CSIE provided programming, planning, design and engineering, and construction monitoring services for multiple COLO.COM Network Data Co-location Facilities throughout the United States. Sites ranged in size from 25,000 sf to 50,000 sf. Features of the projects included the following: coordination and compatibility design for infrastructure hardware to support managed data systems and server farms; design and engineering of architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, environmental systems; systems hardware selection and implementation planning, telecommunications facility space planning and DC plant engineering; design of cable runway systems for data and power distribution; security and uninterruptible 24x7 power distribution design and construction management; management of infrastructure and critical systems implementation; facility systems testing and commissioning. The COLO.COM project scope included the retrofit of an existing shell space to accommodate the mission critical data center facility.
