SENIOR ENGINEERS (MECHANICAL)

Because of anticipated and continued growth, we are expanding our Design Department with the following position:

CSIE is searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to:

• Design building heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC), plumbing and fire protection systems.

• Perform specific project design and development tasks, including drawings, calculations, cost estimates, and specifications.

• Respond to client questions and comments, review contractor submittals, and provide clarifications during construction.

• Mentor junior level Mechanical Engineers.

• Review Mechanical Department design documents for completion and ensure junior level engineers adhere to accepted industry and company standards.

• Assist in the development of company quality standards and procedures.

• Work closely with management and Mechanical Department personnel to develop and implement Mechanical short- and long-range manpower and production plans to meet project objectives.

• Prepare required production control documents.

• Assist the Business Development Department in pursuing new work including participation in client presentations.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• B.S. in an accredited Mechanical Engineering program. 

• 10 + years consulting design experience with emphasis on HVAC system design of commercial, large municipal, institutional, and governmental facilities.

• Licensed Professional Engineer.

• A thorough understanding and knowledge of the architectural and engineering industry, including the Federal, State, and local laws and regulations that pertain to the industry.

• Travel as required to meet training and project requirements.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Experience using Outlook and Microsoft Office (or similar software).

• Existing DOD security clearance or applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

• LEED Accredited Professional.

• Plumbing or fire protection system design experience.

• Knowledge and understanding of HVAC load programs including Trane Trace 700.

• AutoCAD or MicroStation drafting experience desired.
